The
Pre-Licensing Five Hour Class (MV278) is a classroom class required by the Department of Motor Vehicles in the State of New
York, in order for any new applicant to get a driver's license.
This
class answers many questions about basic driving skills, defensive driving, drinking and driving, traffic signs and other
issues that make better drivers. Improves driving knowledge (makes safer drivers) this class helps to better understand driving
in NY and it is straightforward, with no examination.
Our classes are taught by professional New York State certified driving instructors. Upon completion of our class students will be able
to schedule their road test appointment.
* Students must have a valid New York State learner's permit at the time of
the class. * Your MV-278 certificate
is valid for one year from the issuance date. * You must present the original form given by the driving school at the time of your road test.Should you need a copy of your certificate; you must return in person to our office location, request and
sign the new duplicate certificate and allow 24 hours for processing.

a seat and will be informed in the unlikely event that a class must be postponed. Tuition fee is $30.00 payable in cash,

NTSI Traffic Survival Workshop (Level 1) contains the most current information on defensive driving,
traffic laws, collision avoidance, and the affects of alcohol and drugs on drivers. NTSI is a DMV-licensed traffic violator
school that fulfills the 6 hour traffic school requirement. The Traffic Survival Workshop Level I is designed for the
individual who: - Wants to reduce the number of points on their license
- Wants to receive a discount on their
insurance
- Needs to take the class as required by an employer
- Needs to satisfy a court order
- Wishes
to increase their driving knowledge
Information On New York Point and Insurance Reduction BENEFITS: - Completion
of the course makes you eligible for a 10% reduction in the base rate of your Liability & Collision insurance.
- Depending
on the insurance company, the discount will be given on the date of course completion, regardless of when the insurance company
receives the certificate. Course must be completed every 3 years to maintain your insurance discount. Please call your insurance
provider for more information.
- Completion of the course can reduce up to 4 points from your NY Driving Record. Note:
Points do not get removed from your record, the course REDUCES points.
- Completion of the course is good for points
received 18 months before the course. Students must wait 18 months after course completion before it can be taken again for
point reduction. If they take it within that 18 months points will not be reduced by the DMV.
Students that want
to know how many points they have on their driving record can: - Go to their local DMV and request an abstract.
- Ask
their insurance company
OUT OF STATE DRIVERS: A driver with a license from another State that gets a ticket
in NY must take the class in NY unless they get permission from the judge or DMV to take it in their own State. For information on seminar trainings and course offerings, see below.

In the event that you miss the Damon Finch Power Sessions,
NTSI Point and Insurance Reduction Program you must make up the time at the convenience of Damon Finch Power Sessions
and will be charged a $10 rescheduling fee. Understand that the fee for the class is non-refundable in the event
that you cancel or miss class. Your fee covers your registration and training. Understand that all checks are subject
to a $50 returned check fee. It is mandatory for you to arrive on time for class and after each break.
